YourSite is a done-for-you website service for local businesses. You fill out one form telling us about your business — we build, host, and maintain a professional 5-page website for a flat $29.95/month. You don't touch code, you don't learn WordPress, you don't figure out hosting. We do all of it.

YourSite is built for local brick-and-mortar businesses and service providers — restaurants, salons, barbershops, auto shops, bakeries, cafés, nail salons, convenience stores, repair shops, and similar. If you serve customers locally and need an online presence that represents you well, this is for you.

It's not designed for e-commerce stores (selling products online with cart + checkout), large multi-location chains, or enterprise sites. If you need an online store, we can discuss a custom build — but the $29.95/mo plan is for local business sites.

YourSite works for mobile and service businesses too — plumbers, electricians, cleaners, landscapers, mobile detailers, photographers, consultants, etc. We emphasize your service area, your credentials, your portfolio, and how to book. You don't need a physical storefront to benefit from a professional online presence.

Those are DIY website builders — you have to build it yourself. Most business owners don't have the time, the eye for design, or the patience to learn a builder. YourSite is different: you don't build anything. You tell us what you want, and we build it for you. We also keep it updated every month. It's the difference between buying lumber and hiring a carpenter.

I use modern tools to speed up the technical parts, but every design decision, every photo placement, every piece of text is reviewed and customized by a human being who understands local business. Your site is built with clean, modern HTML/CSS/JavaScript and deployed on Netlify — a professional hosting platform trusted by millions of sites. It's not WordPress (which requires constant plugin updates and security patches). The advantage: your site loads fast, stays secure without maintenance, and won't get hacked because there's no database to compromise.

You upload your logo and any photos you have in the intake form. If you don't have photos yet, no problem — we'll use professional stock imagery that matches your industry until you get your own. The text content comes from what you tell us in the form about your business. We write it in your voice, based on the brand voice you select (professional, friendly, bold, or elegant).

You own your content — your text, your photos, your logo, your domain name. The design and code that power the site are part of the YourSite service and stay on our platform while you're subscribed. This is similar to how Shopify or Squarespace works: the site lives on their platform while you pay, but your brand, content, and domain are yours.

You can take your content (text, photos, logo) with you. Your domain name is yours — it stays registered to you. The site itself comes down from our hosting since it's part of the ongoing service. If you want to migrate to another platform, we'll export your content for you in a format the new platform can use. No lock-in, no hostage situation.

Absolutely. If you already own a domain (e.g., yourbusiness.ca), we'll help you connect it to your new site. If you don't have one yet, we'll advise you on the best available options. On the annual plan, we pay for your domain registration for the first year.

The service is built so you don't need to. You get 2 free content updates every month — you message us what needs changing and we do it. That said, if you're technically inclined and want direct access to edit things yourself, we can discuss it. Most of our clients prefer the hands-off approach.

You email or message us with what you need changed — new hours, updated menu prices, a new photo, a seasonal announcement, a new service to add, whatever. We make the change, usually within 24–48 hours. It counts as one update regardless of size (within reason). If you need more than 2 updates in a month, additional updates are $10 each.

Each additional page beyond the 5 included is a $15 one-time fee. Most local businesses fit comfortably within 5 pages — Home, About, Services, Gallery, and Contact covers 90% of what customers are looking for. But if you need a dedicated Menu page, a Testimonials page, a Booking page, or a separate page for each service, adding pages is straightforward.

If your business evolves and you want a fresh look, we can do a redesign. The cost depends on the scope — a visual refresh (new colors, fonts, images) is usually 1–2 months of service cost. A full structural redesign with new pages and features would be quoted based on what you need. There's no charge to have the conversation.

Simple. On the monthly plan, your first month is free, then $29.95/month billed on the same date each month. On the annual plan, you pay for 9 months upfront ($269.55) and get 12 months — 3 months free, plus we cover your domain registration. Payments are processed securely by credit or debit card. No. The monthly or annual price covers everything in the plan — hosting, SSL, content updates, domain setup help, everything listed on the What's Included section. The only things that cost extra are the add-ons (extra pages, logo design, SEO optimization, booking integration, etc.) and those are all optional and clearly priced. You'll never see a surprise charge.

Yes. You'll receive an emailed receipt for every payment automatically. If you need a formal invoice, a year-end summary, or any custom documentation for your bookkeeper or accountant, just ask — we'll provide it at no extra charge.

No contract on the monthly plan. Cancel anytime, no penalty, no questions asked (though I'll genuinely want to know why so I can improve). On the annual plan, you're committed for the year — but you still save over $120 compared to paying monthly. If you need to cancel mid-year, let's talk — I'm reasonable.

Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) processed securely through Stripe. Canadian and US cards both work. If you need to pay by invoice or another method, reach out and we'll figure something out.

We don't go live until you're happy. The process includes a review stage where you see the site and can request changes. We'll revise based on your feedback. If after revisions you're still not satisfied, you haven't paid anything (remember: first month is free, no setup fee) and we part ways with no hard feelings. The free preview you get when you fill out the form is designed to show you exactly what to expect before any commitment.

Yes. The intake form asks for your brand colors, preferred style, and even lets you link to a website whose look you like. If you have a logo, we pull colors from it. The site is built to reflect your brand, not ours.

Yes — logo design is a $49 add-on. We'll create a clean, professional logo that matches your brand voice and industry. You get the final files in multiple formats (PNG, SVG) for use anywhere — on your site, social media, business cards, signage, etc.

Every YourSite is mobile-first by design. Over 70% of local business searches happen on a phone. Your site will load fast, look clean, and be easy to navigate on any screen size — phone, tablet, or desktop. The contact button, directions, and phone number are all tap-friendly.

Yes — every YourSite comes with SEO basics built in: proper page titles, meta descriptions, clean URL structure, and Google-friendly formatting. This alone puts you ahead of businesses with no website at all. If you want deeper optimization (keyword research, local SEO targeting), the Full SEO add-on ($75) takes it further. We can also set up your Google Business Profile ($25 add-on) so you appear in Google Maps and local search results.

Yes. Every YourSite includes free SSL (that's the padlock icon in the browser bar, showing https://). This encrypts visitor data, builds trust, and is required by Google. Without it, browsers show a "Not Secure" warning that scares customers away. SSL is included at no extra cost, and it auto-renews — you never have to think about it.

Yes. Your site's code and content are stored in a version-controlled system (Git). Every change is tracked, and we can roll back to any previous version if needed. Netlify also maintains redundant hosting — your site isn't sitting on a single server that can crash.

This isn't included in the YourSite plan — your site is for your public web presence, not email hosting. But we can point you to affordable options (Google Workspace, Zoho Mail) and help you set it up so your email uses your domain. Google Workspace starts around $7/month and gives you a professional @yourbusiness.com address plus all the Google tools.

If you already use a third-party system (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Square, Calendly, Booksy, etc.), we can link to it from your site. The Appointment Booking add-on ($40) connects a scheduling tool so customers can book directly. For full e-commerce (selling products with a shopping cart), that's a custom build — reach out and we'll discuss what you need.

Not formally yet — but if you send another business our way and they sign up, I'll make sure you're taken care of. A free month of service or a finder's fee — we'll work it out. Word of mouth is how local business grows.

We're local-first because local relationships matter — when I build your site, I understand your community because I live here too.
